The Monona Public Library will be hosting their Seasonal Chefs program featuring the chef of Crema Café, according to a release.

Tastes of Summer on June 25 will include live cooking demonstrations by Crema Café’s Chef Dave using produce from local farmer’s markets, organizers said. Free sampling for all attendees and a question and answer session will also take place.

The Seasonal Chefs series has been an ongoing program at Monona Library for the last three years, according to the release. Local chefs from a variety of restaurants host a night of demonstrations, sampling and answering questions about food and cooking.

"We’re bringing together local chefs and local food within a library setting," said Toni Streckert, information services coordinator at the Monona Library. "It’s a great way of going local at a programming level for public libraries, and a unique experience for our patrons."

The program is free and open to adults and teens ages 12 and up. Space is limited, so organizers suggest registering in advance.
