City cancels request for residents to run faucets | Home & Garden
The city of Monona said Tuesday morning that it is canceling its previous advisory that asked residents to keep a continuous stream of water running from the tap.
The Monona Water Utility issued the advisory on Feb. 10, asking city residents to run water to prevent frozen laterals. But it said as of Tuesday, underground frost levels have receded to a safe level.
The utility said customers will not be billed for the additional water and sewer usage incurred between Feb. 10 and Tuesday.
